Happy New Year!
Our merry crew of four (Meredith, Vela, Liam, and me) rang in the new year on Arriba, approximately one-third of the way between Robe (South Australia) and King Island (Tasmania). Popping a bottle of Tasmanian sparkling white seemed appropriate.
There was confusion about what time was midnight on board as some phones picked up South Australian mobile phone towers (on ACDT) while others picked up Victorian towers (on AEDT). We could have elected to go with ship time (ACDT) but, instead, we split the difference and celebrated at 11:45 ACDT / 12:15 AEDT.
